New Version of Putty is Out after 4 years. PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Windows and Unix platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator. It is written and maintained primarily by Simon Tatham. Putty is useful for managing your server/system remotely. To use putty is simple. Download and open the application, enter the Host name or ip address of the server and choose whether you wish to telnet or ssh into the server. Thereafter you are presented with a terminal where you can control you server/system.
